Indian-spiced Green Beans

1 lb. green beans (frozen or fresh)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 small white onion, cut into rings

1 teaspoon turmeric

1/4 teaspoon red chili powder

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 cup unsweetened coconut

Heat the oil in a large skillet and add the onion. Sauté until onions are browned. Add the green beans and cook about 10 minutes, covered. Uncover beans and sprinkle with turmeric, chili powder, and salt. Cook another 10 minutes, stirring often. Add the coconut stir and cook until coconut is browned.
