Pasta Sauce with Sausage

This pasta is so easy to make. You can use mild or spicy sausage depending on your taste and it doesn't have to be chicken sausage.
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 shallot chopped
2 links Italian chicken sausage – remove from casing
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 teaspoon sweet basil or oregano
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Remove the casing from the sausage and sauté in a frying pan until browned. Cool slightly then puree in food processor. While the sausage cools, saute the garlic and shallot in 1 tablespoon of oil. Use a low heat so that the garlic doesn't brown too much. The shallot should be translucent. Place all ingredients in a pot and add the jar of spaghetti sauce. Simmer for at least 15 minutes. Add cooked pasta to the pot and stir until mixed well.
