One of Mark’s favorite restaurants is Indo in Keego Harbor. Their menu is full of intriguing and intensely flavored dishes. One of the things that I like best is that you can order any dish with a mild, medium, or hot spice level. Our most recent visit to Indo was with our friends Sue and John Erich. Sue and I both ordered the mild Pineapple Chicken with brown rice.

Pineapple, onion, tomatoes, and cabbage are sauteed with chicken breast pieces. The chicken pieces are generously sprinkled with spices, and the pineapple adds a sweetness to the dish. Mark ordered the Rujak, which is a mango papaya salad. The mango and papaya are shredded into a long noodle shape, and tomato and red onion are added.
The agave lime dressing brightens up the salad, which is very refreshing. Mark also had chicken potstickers that were crispy and delicious. John chose the Bakso, which is meatball soup. His dish was medium spicy and included homemade meatballs, onion, vegetables, broth and thin noodles. John enjoyed the soup very much. We will all go back. The restaurant is located at 1535 Cass Lake Road in a small, unassuming strip mall. It is closed on Monday and Tuesday but opens for lunch and dinner every other day. I encourage you to give this restaurant a try.
